PFAS Certification: A Practical Framework for Managing PFAS Risk

This webinar will take place on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

PFAS Risk is evolving beyond is evolving beyond chemical restrictions alone. Global and regional frameworks continue to expand, including the Stockholm Convention, EU REACH, Washington’s Safer Products programe, Canada’s class-based CEPA approach, France’s national restrictions, and TSCA reporting. Increasingly, enforcement places accountability directly on brands.

Recent enforcement actions have highlighted that a documented phase-out of interntionally-added PFAS and a total organic fluorine cap do not, on their own, offer sufficient protection. As a result, test reports, RSLs, and chain of custody documentation alone are no longer sufficient. While they document inputs, they do not demonstrate ongoing control and can leave gaps in PFAS risk management.

The Eurofins PFAS Certification framework provides a structures and defensible approach by connecting testing, supply-chain control, and independent verification into a single system. Depending on the level of assurance required, the frameworks integrates:

  • Targeted, risk-based analytical testing to identify PFAS presence.
  • Structured review of chemical management and supply chain controls.
  • Independent verification through on-site audits and surveillance.

This framework supports consistent and defensible PFAS risk management across products, processes, and supply chains, scaled to align with regulatory scrutiny and brand risk tolerance.

Join us to understand how PFAS compliance is moving beyond test reports toward verified, scalable risk management!
