Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly known as PFAS or ‘forever chemicals’, have been used in consumer products such as apparel, footwear, and food contact materials for decades. Growing research has linked their extreme environmental persistence to adverse health effects, triggering intense regulatory scrutiny worldwide.
The PFAS regulatory compliance landscape is expanding rapidly. Key regulations now in force include REACH, POPs, EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, French PFAS Decree, EPA TSCA, and US state-level restrictions, with further enforcement expected through 2026 and beyond. PFAS compliance is essential for brand trust and credibility to mitigate the business risks.
This page confirms the authenticity of a PFAS Mark issued under the Eurofins PFAS Certification Programme. This certification was independently assessed and issued by Eurofins | BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd (Eurofins | BLC), part of the Eurofins Softlines & Hardlines network of laboratories.

What is a Eurofins PFAS Mark and the Eurofins PFAS Certification Programme?
The Eurofins PFAS Mark is an independently-verified certification mark awarded to products and production processes that meet the criteria of the Eurofins PFAS Certification Programme, a science-based PFAS testing and certification framework for the textile, apparel, footwear, leather, and accessories sectors. The programme is a third-party conformity assessment programme based on applicable requirements of ISO/IEC 17065.
Each PFAS Mark is underpinned by rigorous review on the basis of analytical testing, including TOF testing (Total Organic Fluorine) and Total Fluorine (TF) screening, structured documentary review and independent audit as required. The certification is issued by Eurofins | BLC based on the applicable requirements of the level of tier.
The PFAS Mark is available across three certification tiers, offering scalable PFAS compliance solutions for organisations at every stage of their chemical management journey, covering entry-level PFAS screening of finished product batches to comprehensive PFAS regulatory compliance, including on-site auditing and full chain-of-custody controls.
Organisations that fulfil the programme criteria are awarded the Eurofins PFAS Mark, which can be used across multiple channels to demonstrate their PFAS commitment and substantiate PFAS-related claims.
